Tobacco Caye Paradise
Tobacco Caye Paradise is a small Belizean-style vacation property with six private "over the water" beach cabanas. All cabanas face north to the Belize Barrier Reef and have wonderful decks perched over turquoise tropical waters. Each deck has a hammock and an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea. Accommodations are clean, basic, simple, comfortable and charmingly rustic. There are five 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabanas, and one 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabana. Each cabana has a private bathroom and rainwater-fed showers. Cabanas are based in double occupancy.
Backpacking around the world? We offer accommodation for those traveling with a limited budget. Our guestrooms are located in a two-story building within walking distance from the ocean (50 ft). Accommodations are private and share a bathroom/shower. Based on single or double occupancy.
Our property is completely off-the-grid! While there are no electric or water utilities on the island, we collect our own rainwater and generate our own electricity from solar power (only use a generator when absolutely necessary). Please note we do not produce enough energy to provide Air Conditioned or hot showers.
Delicious Belizean-style meals are available in the dining hall, where you can dine with fellow travelers and share the day’s adventures. Meal plan is compulsory and will be added to all reservations (including guestrooms).
We provide 24-hour front desk/manager assistance, housekeeping, and delicious meals. Wi-fi is available on the property for a small daily fee, please remember we are off-grid our internet service is via satelite, not high-speed . We provide linens and towels, but NO beach towels, please come prepared.
We also offer: kayak, snorkel gear and SUP rentals to all our guests and visitors.

2. Meal Plans: Meals are compulsory and will be added at time of booking. Meals will be calculated based on the number of people and number of nights staying. Reservations without meals are NOT available. We do not offer breakfast only or dinner only options.

Rates: All rates are in US dollars and based on double occupancy. By confirming this reservation you agree that your credit card will be charged 100% of our accommodation and meals. Any unpaid fees for other services will be taken at check-in.
Any unused portion of hotel, meals and services part of package plans not taken by customer’s choice are non-transferable nor refundable.

Park Fees: Tobacco Caye is part of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. Visitors must pay a park fee of US$5 per day -up to three days- or US$15 a week - fees NOT included in your reservation, unless otherwise specified. Rangers from the Fishery Department collect this fee from all visitors.
Travel Insurance: We highly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance should unforeseen situations arise that might cause your trip to be cancelled. Tobacco Caye Paradise does not take responsibility for cancelled or partially cancelled reservations due to illness, flight cancellations, or natural disasters such as heavy rains, flooding, storms and hurricanes. Whenever possible, Tobacco Caye Paradise will work with you to arrange future dates for your trip.
Important COVID19 Travel Information
We are a Gold Standard Certified property. Belize has implemented enhanced health and safety protocols to protect you and ensure that you’ll enjoy your vacation. The following are some guidelines to help you prepare for your trip and know what to expect when you arrive in Belize.
Before Your Visit
• We encourage you to bring along proof of covid19 vaccination or take a Covid-19 test before travel to Belize . These options will allow for a ‘fast track’ arrival process. You need to bring along a negative Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival in Belize, OR Rapid Antigen, Sophia, SD Bisensor, ABBOT (Panbio) test results taken no more than 48 hours of arrival in Belize. If neither is presented, you can take a Covid-19 test upon arrival if you are unable to bring a negative test. Testing is at the passengers’ expense and costs US$50.00.
You will disembark the plane - wearing a face mask - and proceed to health screening.
On Arrival in Belize:
• You will disembark the plane - wearing a face mask - and proceed to health screening.
• If you brought along proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test, you will proceed to the ‘fast track’ lane for Immigration & Customs processing. Depending on your health screening, you may be randomly selected for secondary testing.
• If you were unable to bring your vaccination card or the results of negative test, you must proceed to the testing area where you’ll be required to take a COVID rapid test. Testing is at the passengers’ expense and costs US$50.00.
• Proceed to Immigration and Customs, and then exit the airport via the Safe Corridor using approved air or ground transportation. You will receive your test results here at our Gold Standard hotel via the Ministry of Health.
• A positive test result will require you to quarantine with our hotel until the Ministry of Health provides clearance.
During your Stay in Belize:
• While in-country facemasks are mandatory in all public spaces, and you’re advised to practice social distancing and proper hand hygiene, to protect yourself and others you come in contact with.
• During this initial phase of re-opening, while on our property you will enjoy our full-service amenities (dining areas, beach access, and onsite activities).
• We want you to see and do as much of the activities in our beautiful country, during your visit. Although you won’t be able to explore on your own, we can arrange guided tours for you with our approved Gold Standard Tour Operator.

Rates: All rates are in US dollars
• A full payment is required at the time of booking. Your credit card will be charged accordingly.
• Your credit card company may have additional charges for foreign transactions. There may be credit card, and bank charges/exchange rates fees added to the balance authorized for credit card charges. Please note that we do not have any control over these charges which banks make directly to you.
• Our front desk accepts cash (BZD or USD), Visa or MasterCard.
• Any unused portion of lodging and/or meal plans, package plans and trips (by customer’s choice) are non-transferable and not refundable.

• A full refund will be given on any cancellation made 15 days or more prior to date of arrival less a US$30 processing fee.
• A full credit towards future travel -OR- optional 50% refund will be given on any cancellation made within 14 days of arrival
• Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing to Tobacco Caye Paradise.
