Most major credit and debit cards are accepted. In order to check the credit card used to secure the booking is valid, the card will be pre-authorised 7 days before the date of arrival or immediately if this date is within 7 days. No money is taken by the Hotel during pre-authorisation, and it does not affect your right to cancel within our normal cancellation period. If the card does not pre-authorise we will contact you to request new card details and we reserve the right to cancel the booking if we do not receive these within 36 hours of first contacting you. Payment will be taken the day before arrival by completion of the pre-authorisation unless the booking is subject to special terms and conditions, or the booking was made via Agoda or Travel Republic.

All additional sums are due for payment on presentation of the invoice at checkout. In the event of any query relating to the invoice, the Guest
must notify the Hotel within 3 days of the invoice date and the Guest’s obligation to pay all outstanding balances immediately will not be affected.

Please Note: rooms keys must be handed in to a member of staff on Check-out. Regrettably a £35 charge will be made for any lost keys or those not handed in, unless by arrangement. If a key is taken away by mistake, we would ask that you contact the Hotel as soon as possible, the return address is printed on the key and no charge will be made if we receive the key back within 3 working days. If there is any damage to the room or items missing the appropriate cost will be charged to the card provided with the booking. Please do not smoke in the room as the smoke detectors are very sensitive and will be set off by cigarette smoke or E-cigarettes. There will be penalty charge of £100 for setting off the fire alarm.

All cancellations and booking modifications must be made in writing to the us: either by letter, fax or email, no verbal cancellations will be accepted.

If your reservation is cancelled after 12 noon 48 hours prior to 12 noon on the date of your arrival you will be charged in full. Please see our full terms and conditions regarding cancellations relating to special events or group bookings. These can be found on our website.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Due to the high demand for rooms at specific times we have a different cancellation policy for these special events which means that we cannot accept any cancellations within 30 days of the first day of the special event commencing. This particularly affects Badminton Horse Trial which has been cancelled in recent times so we strongly recommend that guests take out insurance to cover against unforeseen circumstances. Your booking is still valid should an event you are attending be cancelled.

All cancellations must be in writing. If a cancellation is made within 30 days then the full cost of the reservation will be charged. A 25% deposit for special event bookings will be charged on booking and this is non-refundable. All guest credit cards will be Pre-Authorised before the commencement date of the event. Any credit cards that are declined must be replaced with a valid card to enable pre-authorisation. If subsequent pre-authorisations are also declined the hotel may cancel the reservation.

Minimum night stays may be applicable to special events and may vary.

FESTIVE SEASON BOOKINGS

Any booking made for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve will have a minimum cancellation period of 30 days prior to the date of arrival.

All cancellations must be in writing. If a cancellation is made within 30 days then the full charge of the reservation will be made. A 25% deposit will be required on booking and this is non-refundable. All guest credit cards will be Pre-Authorised before the date of arrival.
