St John's Lodge is in the heart of The Lake District midway between Windermere village, Bowness-on-Windermere village and Windermere Lake and within easy access of restaurants, boutique shops and mountains. Windermere provides world-famous scenery and a beautiful, ever-changing landscape throughout the year.

We have been awarded the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 2016 and from Visit England - 4 stars with the Breakfast Award and the Silver Award for Rooms and Customer Service. We offer an extensive range of breakfasts to suit all dietary requirements including meat-eaters, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free diets. Excellent, free WiFi.

A stay at St John’s Lodge includes complimentary membership at an offsite (2 miles away) private leisure club during your stay.

We partner with Choices Health Club - situated a 40-minute walk / 8 minutes drive from us.

We have a small car park at the front of the building and there is also free, unrestricted parking opposite, beside a glass bus shelter and on nearby Queens Drive.

The host has an excellent knowledge of Windermere and the Lake District in general and can help you to enjoy your stay :-)
