Red Garter Inn

The Red Garter proudly offers four unique rooms in a beautifully restored 1897 saloon and bordello. This two-story Victorian Romanesque brick building with twelve foot ceilings, skylights and antique furnishings, captures the 1890's Old West atmosphere without giving up the comfort and security expected by today's traveler. The ‘staircase to heaven’ leads guests up to the parlor and cribs where the ‘soiled doves’ once awaited their cowboy callers. The former saloon downstairs is now the Canyon Cafe serving a great breakfast or lunch seven days a week. The Grand Canyon Railway’s vintage train still departs daily from across the street but now art galleries, shops and great restaurants are clustered throughout the neighborhood along Historic Route 66.
This is not your Grandma’s B&B, the returning guests over the last twenty years love the history, the vibrant downtown and local advice on how best to access the wonders of the Grand Canyon area. While ready for mountain country weather, they also pack just what they want to carry up those stairs.
