Our unique location on the bank of the Cucharas River along the Highway of Legends makes this the perfect spot for your Colorado experience. Explore the charm of Cuchara Village or nearby La Veta, hike the Spanish Peaks, or simply relax in this unique riverside lodge surrounded by towering pines. A visit to Cucharas River Bed & Breakfast will remind you of time spent at your favorite aunt’s home, but without the lace doilies and antiques. Instead, the bright cabin filled with the contemporary work of local artists and a relaxed vibe where you are free to enjoy all the comforts of this immaculate, pet-friendly home. The gathering room provides guests use of a full kitchen, entertainment center, and the huge farm table-perfect for meals, games, or crafts. Spend time on the deck listening to the gentle flow of the river or grilling dinner on one of three grills while you watch for “Spirit“ the local magpie. Whether you seek a romantic weekend, a family getaway, or a group retreat, I invite you to share my home. You’ll be right on Main Street in Cuchara, within walking distance of bars, restaurants and entertainment including mini golf and live music. Within a short drive you can enjoy all of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including hiking, fishing, rafting, 4WD routes, the Highway of Legends Scenic Byway and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. There’s even an alligator park!

One of two rooms downstairs. Delightful cozy queen bed with 2 large windows and a private bath with a walk in shower having dual shower heads. The private balcony provides a relaxing view of the Cucharas River.
This room is capable of becoming a Deluxe Suite which has access to an additional room downstairs with a queen bed and private balcony which can accommodate 2 extra people for an additional cost. Great for two couples or families.

Termini e condizioni
Our property has a policy of no smoking. The designated smoking area is outside of the fence in the parking area or on the street. If you are found to be in violation of this, you will be assessed a $200 fee.
Pet Policy: There will be a $25 pet fee per stay. There is a maximum of 2 dogs per room. Dogs may not be left unattended in the house and must always be on a leash outside. If you’re traveling with a pet besides a dog, feel free to call for special arrangements.
Check-in time is 3:00 pm. We will be happy to check you in early if your room is available. Check out time is 10:00 am.
Our hours are 8 am to 8 pm Sunday through Saturday. Please let us know ahead of time if you will be arriving after we are closed. Arrangements will be made to process your check in before your arrival and your key will be left for you.
Free parking and complimentary breakfast are available to all our overnight guests.
All guest rooms are located on the first and second floor. There is no elevator and no bellhop. Please pack accordingly.
No hourly rates available.
No cash accepted onsite.
Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.
Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your security deposit on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, bathrobes, linens, pillows, mugs, room key, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy
