Built in 1608 The Bull at Benenden is a classic English village pub offering 3 beautifully styled en-suite bed and breakfast rooms. We enjoy the process of creating a home from home experience, so each room has been designed individually so as not to feel corporate and standard. All the rooms have king size beds, good quality bed linen, luxury toiletries, an expresso coffee machine, a kettle, a hairdryer, fluffy dressing gowns and modern day necessities including USB charging points, a smart tv and bluetooth speakers.
The rooms are named after three colourful characters Kitty Fisher, John Norris and Lucy Locket. Kitty Fisher was the infamous courtesan who married the MP from Rye, Mr John Norris. Together they resided in Hempstead House, Benenden (now the home of the famous Benenden Girls School). It is said that the ditty, ‘Lucy Locket lost her pocket, Kitty Fisher found it, not a penny was there in it, just a ribbon round it’ is accredited to Kitty Fisher of Benenden. The Bull may well have been visited by Kitty Fisher who now lies to rest in St George’s Church, Benenden, allegedly buried in her very best ball gown! Each room offers you a piece of history with an aspect overlooking the classic cricket green or the very pretty secret garden.

Please take note of our terms and conditions before completing your booking:
The Bull at Benenden reserves the right to refuse entry and accommodation to any individual at any time.
A full English breakfast is included within the room rate, if you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all the rooms.
If any damage is caused to the room during your stay, we will charge you accordingly.
2 night minimum saty. If you would like to stay for one night we will do our best to accommodate, however, please note there will be a £50.00 surcharge for one night stays.
Children’s cots/cribs and highchairs are not available.
The Bull at Benenden has a limited number of parking spaces, these cannot be reserved. There is plenty of on street parking around the pub.
Guests are invited to arrive from 3pm and depart by 11am. We will endeavour to accommodate an early check in and later check out, time allowing. Please contact us directly.
Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9am, Monday to Friday and 8am to 9.30am Saturday and Sunday.
Please note that on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays our kitchen is closed. If you are staying with us on on one of those evenings and would like to eat, by prior arrangement we can prepare a simple supper.

Full payment will be taken 24 hours prior to arrival. In event of a no show, no refund will be given.

If may cancel or modify your booking up 48 hours before the date of arrival without charge. If a booking is cancelled or modified within 48 hours of the date of your stay, you will still be charged full price. The total price of a reservation is charged and will not be refunded in the case of a no-show.
