Check in is any time after 4pm. Check out time is 10:00am.

Our property has a policy of No Smoking and No Unannounced Pets. If you are found to be in violation of either of these, you will be assessed a $300 fee or more for damages.

No early check-in or late check out is available at this time due to extensive sanitization in place. A convenient and socially distanced outdoor self check-in is located just outside the lobby.

This hotel is on septic. Items other than toilet tissue in the system could become a huge issue for us and may result in a service charge for the plumber and damage.

There are no additional taxes other than standard occupancy tax and a $2 trail maintenance fee. There are no added fees or hidden surcharges. Direct reservations are confirmed by deposit of $200 stay via our website or phone. All other channels (e.g. booking.com, etc.) require full payment in advance. We reserve the right to hold a $100 security deposit at check in.

I am aware of and will comply with all State and County Covid-19 Regulations.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations Agreement (Terms and Conditions):
We are a small independent family-owned business and cancellations affect us greatly.

****30 Days or More Prior to Reservation***
If Guests need to cancel, the reservation is subject to a $100 cancellation fee. However, Guests may move a reservation for no fee within the season.

***Within 29 to 8 Days of Reservation***
A cancellation made between 29 to 8 days of the reservation date is non-refundable. If Guests would like to move a reservation, it will be subject to $100 fee and based on availability.

***Within 7 Days of the Reservation***
A cancellation made seven or less days from check in date is non-refundable and cannot be moved. No exceptions can be made due to illness, smoke, rain, snow, traffic, etc.

If the Carriage House Inn is closed or subject to government-enforced closure, Guests will receive the hotel credit for their deposit for use within one (1) year.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase the very affordable trip insurance if they have any concerns about their plans being changed unexpectedly due to injury, weather, health emergencies, and so on. The Carriage House Inn is a mountain property with variable year-round weather, including the possibility of smoke, snow, and hazardous road conditions. If we are open for business and not subject to government-imposed closure, there are no exceptions to this policy.

EXCEPTION: Downieville Classic Week, Bamf Film Festival, New Year's week, and all Mountain Biking Festivals and Special Event reservations are paid in full, in advance, and are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Please be sure to acquire trip insurance in the event of unexpected illness, pandemic, death, or weather related emergencies as we are not able to make an exception to this policy to keep our business sustainable.

Additional policies apply to group reservations of three or more rooms. Group reservations are required to pay 100% of the reservation and are non-refundable unless refund request is made greater than 45-days from the reservation. If a 45-day notice is given, Carriage House Inn will attempt to rebook the rooms, and a refund will be given for any rooms which are rebooked.

All cancellation requests must be provided to the innkeeper in writing at sonya@downievillecarriagehouse.com. You will receive any refund due within 30 days.
