Accommodation Booking Policies

The Tuwanek Hotel : Boutique Hotel and Day Spa Accommodation on the Sunshine Coast

Our main policy is to ensure your time at The Tuwanek Hotel oceanfront B&B is a truly unique Sunshine Coast vacation experience. Nestled in the natural beauty of the West Coast of Canada, and that this place always welcomes you.

The Tuwanek Hotel welcomes payment by Visa, MasterCard, and Debit Card. Book online to confirm your reservation for the Hotel and At the Waters Edge Spa.

Payment Policy

A non refundable deposit of one nights room rate or 25 % of total nights reserved (whichever is greater) is processed at the time the booking is made to guarantee your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival and is charged to your credit card at that time. Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of the deposit and a copy of your booking folio will be emailed to you for your files.

Cancellation Policy

The balance is due upon arrival and is charged to your credit card at that time. Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of the deposit and a copy of your booking folio will be emailed to you for your files. We will honor your reservation by not offering your Suite to anyone else. Please note: When booking a packages getaway the deposit is based on the room nights and not the package value.
Our Cancellation Policy is 14 days for Bed and Breakfast Suites, so please be sure to call within that time period or send us an email if you are not able to keep your reservation. We will confirm your cancellation with a written email for your files along with your confirmation number. If you cancel with less than 14 days, we reserve the right to fully charge for all nights for which we are unable to secure a replacement booking. Please note the cancellation policy also applies to reservations booked with Gift Certificates. ”No Shows” and unscheduled early departures are subject to full payment for all nights reserved.
In order to be fair to our practitioners all Spa treatments, booked either a la carte or in a package, must be cancelled with 48 hours notice or pay for the full amount of the spa treatments.

a refreshing herbal soak, calluses are removed, and cuticles are trimmed. Salt exfoliation will leave your feet baby soft. Your feet and
lower legs are then treated to a relaxing massage, soothing areas of tension with a wonderful aromatherapy foot lotion. Finish with a
nail polish of your choice.
EMINENCE DIVINE MANICURE AND PEDICURE WITH PARAFFIN - 90 MIN - $130 – Enjoy sitting in our massage chair while feet
and hands are softened in a refreshing herbal soak, calluses are removed, and cuticles are trimmed. Salt exfoliation will leave your skin
baby soft. Your feet, lower legs, hands and arms are then treated to a relaxing massage, soothing areas of tension with a wonderful
aromatherapy lotion. Finish off with a nail polish of your choice.
EMINENCE DIVINE MANICURE AND PEDICURE WITH FULL PARAFFIN TREATMENT - 120 MIN - $150 – Enjoy sitting in our
massage chair while feet and hands are softened in a refreshing herbal soak, callus are removed, and cuticles are trimmed. Our sugar
scrub will leave your skin soft and supple. Then relax while a warm moisturizing paraffin treatment is applied to the feet and hands (so
soothing for achy arthritic joints!). Your feet, lower legs, hands and arms are then treated to a divine massage, soothing areas of
tension with a wonderful aromatherapy lotion. Finish off with a nail polish of your choice.

COVID UPDATES

TUWANEK HOTEL & AT THE WATERS EDGE SPA SAFETY PLAN

The Tuwanek Hotel is open for guests from the Sunshine Coast and essential workers from BC.
We are only accepting guests to the hotel that are residents of British Columbia at this time.
In order to reduce guest social interactions the hotel is reducing the capacity of guests staying at the
property. The Tuwanek Hotel has a maximum of 6 guests at the hotel and 2 guests in the spa.
All hotel guests must wear a mask at check in and must fill out the Covid Safety Assessment upon arrival.
Guests to the At the Waters Edge Spa will have to fill out a Covid Safe Visit Screening Form prior to
treatment.
Physical distancing is really easy and we will not be entering your room during your stay for daily
housekeeping at this time.
Direct bookings including Breakfast will be brought up to your room to enjoy inside your room or outside
on your balcony overlooking the ocean.
Please buy any supplies at your local grocery and liquor store before coming to the Sunshine Coast and
drive straight to the Tuwanek Hotel.
Make a ferry reservation as soon as you book your stay on the coast and you must have a mask required
on the ferry.
Due to social distancing the club room and theatre will only be accessible to guests in the Sunset Suite.
Masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, sanitizer wipes and cleaners are available.
Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses.
We are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests at the Tuwanek Hotel and Spa and we
meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning and adjust the business operations and policies.
Using cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms and public spaces after guests depart and
before the next guest arrives with paying particular attention to high-touch areas and regularly used items.
We will continue to update information and policies. Whether you are travelling now or in the near future
the Tuwanek Hotel and Spa want you to know our guests are valued and your safety and well being is our
first priority.

stay. Please read our cancellation policy. Guests affected by covid orders will have the option of
converting their deposit to a credit to be used in the future.
