Just off Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre, this hotel offers budget rooms a 3-minute walk from the main shopping district. Piccadilly Rail Station is a 5-minute walk away.
Some rooms at Merchants Hotel have a TV or overlook Piccadilly Gardens and all include facilities for making tea coffee. Many have en suite facilities, while there are shared toilets and washbasins on each floor of the hotel, and a shared shower room on the third floor.
The bed and breakfast has an on-site internet facility for guests, which is open till late. A continental breakfast is served in the morning, or alternatively a range of restaurants and cafés can be reached in under 10 minutes’ walk.
Secure public parking is located opposite Piccadilly Train Station. There is no lift at The Merchants Hotel.

All bookings are made in conjunction with the Payment Policy and the Cancellation Policy of the Hotel. Should you require more information about these please speak directly to Reception.
By checking in to the Property you accept and agree to the following:
- the building is no-smoking throughout - any guests found smoking will be asked to leave the property with no refund and be subject to a cleaning charge of £100
- any keys that are lost or not left at check-out will be liable to a £15 replacement charge; towels are charged at £5 and remote controls at £10 if these are not left in the room at check-out
- if breakfast is not included in the room rate - this can be purchased for £3.00 per person
A Valid ID may be required on check in.
Management reserve the right to refuse a check-in should guests be under the influence of Drugs/Alcohol
Payment Policy
The full amount of the booking is chargeable on check-in. Bookings of longer than a total of 6 room nights may be charged at any time prior to arrival.
We accept all major debit and credit cards. Cash is also accepted with Valid ID.
We reserve the right to pre-authorise or charge a booking in advance if the booking falls on a weekend or when there any special events on in the City.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings made online can be cancelled, free of cost, up to 5 days prior to check in.
Bookings made directly with the Hotel can be cancelled, free of cost, up to 48 hours prior to check in. After this time, the booking becomes fully chargeable
If the booking is not cancelled, resulting in a 'no-show' we will pursue the cancellation charges which may result in further costs being added.
