Terms & Conditions

We are a non-smoking property (as is all in Iowa) for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests. Guests who violate the policy and smoke in premises are subject to a minimum $250.00 charge for returning the room to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding.

We are a pet friendly property and will charge a $25 pet fee. We have 1 designated pet friendly room, rooms 204 , because it is not carpeted. 2 pets may be in the room during the stay in will have a 50 pound weight restriction per pet. The room will be serviced every other day of stay to maintain fresh smelling. Guests will be subject to a minimum $250.00 charge for returning the room to a pet odor-free status and/or unusual cleaning resulting from having pets in the room and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding.

We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.

Free parking is available to all our overnight guests.

All guest rooms are located on the second and third floor. There is no bellhop. Please pack accordingly.

All photo shoots and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners. At least seven days advance written notice required prior to any personal or professional photo shoots. No closed door filming allowed. Additional fees apply. In other words, you may not simply reserve a room for a photo shoot or filming. This also applies to day of events such as weddings. A liaison designated by the Kingsley Inn will be assigned to monitor all photo shoots and filming. Please call us at 319-372-2144 for further details. A separate contract is required.

No cash accepted onsite.

Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.

Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your security deposit on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, bathrobes, linens, pillows, glasses, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.

Payment Policy

Our rates are all inclusive, based on double occupancy. There are no additional taxes, fees or hidden surcharges. Direct reservations are confirmed by payment of your 1st night in the case of a one or two night stay OR 50% of your total stay for three or more nights. This may appear as two separate charges on your statement in the case of three or more days.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy
As we are a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly.
Therefore, all cancellations are subject to a minimum $25 per booked room cancellation fee and are treated as follows:
• in advance of 14 full days prior to arrival date - Refund of deposit, less the $25 cancellation fee.
• within two weeks from arrival - Refund of deposit based on our ability to resell your room(s), less the $25 fee.
EXCEPTION: New Year, River Fest, River & Rail Weekend and Rodeo week reservations are paid in full, in advance, and are non-refundable.
Please be sure to acquire trip insurance in the event of unexpected illness, death or weather related emergencies as we are not able to make an exception to this policy.
Additional policies apply to group reservations of three or more rooms.
All cancellations must be provided to the innkeeper. You will receive any refund due within 30 days.
