The Connaught Inn is the closest accommodation to the train station being 2 minutes by car or just under a 10 minute walk. Situated on Spencer street, The Law Courts, The Green, GMIT, Castlebar General Hospital, Theatre Royal Concert Centre and The Linenhall Arts Centre are all a few minute's walk and the hustle and bustle of town a mere 5 minutes walk. Equally if it’s peace and beautiful scenery you want Lough Lannagh is within a comfortable 10 minute walk with stunning views of Castlebar and the surrounding areas have something for everyone with Westport only a 15 minute drive.

The 18th Century building has been tastefully modernised and all rooms are en-suite, on the 1st floor and suitable for the business user and family alike. We also have ground floor rooms and an accessible room.Free wi-fi is available throughout.. The rooms are accessed via an external secure entrance.

We also have 3 Fully equipped self catering apartments which are ideally situated for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.There 2 which have a double and twin bedroom so sleeps 4 people and one double bedroom apartment which sleeps 2.

We also boast a restaurant and bar lounge open 7 days a week. We offer traditional Irish food with a contemporary twist. All of our produce is fresh and locally sourced where possible offering light bites through to a full 4 course dinner to suit all tastes and pockets. It also boasts the only external courtyard dining area in Castlebar – weather permitting.

There is a wide selection of drinks in the bar with Live Sports TV and entertainment most weekends.

En-suite bedrooms

For all of our bedrooms no payment is needed at this point just a credit/debit card is required to secure the booking however you can choose to pay however you like once you arrive.

Apartments

For all of our apartments full payment will be taken 60 days before arrival or at the time of booking if your arrival date is within 60 days of booking. At this point it cannot be cancelled but if you do need to cancel we will do our very best to resell it on your behalf.

Payment Policy

Cash and credit cards accepted on arrival. A deposit may be required for group bookings.

Cancellation Policy

En-suite bedrooms
Bookings must be cancelled by noon the day before or full payment will be charged or the first nights stay

Apartments
Bookings must be cancelled over 61 days or more prior to arrival to avoid cancellation fees.
