Terms & Conditions

Tanglewood Lodge enforces a very strict non-smoking policy in each of our rooms. Guests who violate this process are subject to a minimum $100.00 charge for returning the room to a smoke free status, potential loss in profit and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding.

We reserve the right to charge for any damage, removal of items, or unusual wear and tear. These include but are not limited to remote controls, room keys, linens and towels, pillows, mugs, pet damage, structural upset etc. These items will be price matched to the catelog in which they were ordered from, invoiced by a contractor, and charged to the credit card on file. Excessive cleaning required by our staff after guest departure is subject to a cleaning fee of $100.00. By signing this policy, each guest agrees to these avoidable charges.

Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a $10 minimum charge and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure. Items that are unclaimed after 30 days will not be held.

No hourly rates available.

If we suspect that illegal or inappropriate activity is occurring on our property, we will directly contact the appropriate authorities and ask you to leave the premises. If this measure is taken, there will be no refund provided. These individuals will still be subject to damaged property, loss of income, and policies listed above.

Tanglewood welcomes small dogs up to 25lbs. Our furry guests will incur an additional $7 per night charge, per dog. Up to 2 dogs per room maximum. Dogs left unattended must be in a crate, and 30 minutes or more of barking will require owner contact immediately, Tie ups not allowed. Picking up after your dog is a curtesy to other guests and the property as a whole. Dogs must be walked on a leash,

Check in begins at 3pm, unless previously arranged by the guest and management to ensure rooms are in their finest condition. Check out is at 10am , unless previously arranged by the guest and management at check in.

During the summer, a minimum 2 night stay is required. All holiday weekends require a 3 night stay minumum. Winter months are up to the discrepancy of management.

Boats are available to rent at the hour of 7am and must be docked by sundown. Boats returned in poor condition will accrue damage costs, as listed in the boat rental contract. Any individual interested in renting a boat born before 1984 must have a boaters license on file with the office.

Payment Policy

A deposit of one night stay is required before a confirmed reservation is made online. A guest who makes a reservation over the phone are required to provide a valid credit card number to hold the room. This will not accrue a charge. Guests are responsible for payment of total number of nights reserved upon check in. A 3% surcharge is collected when credit cards or debit cards are used at Tanglewood Lodge; this is indicated on your receipt or list of transactions.

Cancellation Policy

When we confirm a reservation for you, all other requests are refused for that unit. Cancellations must be made before 10 days of the reservation in order to refund a deposit in full. Valid refunds will be made within a 30 day period. Cancellations made within 10 days of the reservation will not receive their deposit back, unless the room is able to be rebooked in full. Guests that have a credit card on file and make a cancellation will be charged the amount of 1 nights stay, plus tax and credit card surcharge, on the date of previously planned check in. This includes no-shows.

Our reservation and cancellation policy is intended to be fair to our guests and also to our business. Lakeshore Drive on Lake Taneycomo is quiet, secluded, and not a high traffic area. We depend heavily on advance reservations. Your cooperation is appreciated.
