Property Information
Located in a lovely and historic neighborhoods of downtown Charleston, SC, the Notso Hostel and Notso Hostel Annex are within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, & museums. We provide clean, simple accommodations so that you can dream of your future travels in peace and comfort. We focus on safety, sustainability, cleanliness and building community among travelers that gather here from all over the world.
We have two locations to accommodate travelers of all types:
156 Spring Street is our Main location with dorms and private rooms. Kitchens and bathrooms are communal, unless otherwise specified. This location is a ten minute walk from the main street of downtown Charleston.
33 Cannon Street is our Annex location with all private rooms and one with a private bathroom. There is a communal kitchen downstairs, as well as a shared living space and free self serve laundry. The Annex is just one block away from King Street, the main street of downtown Charleston.
Both our Main Location and Annex Location have free parking, a light breakfast, WiFi, and linens.

The Cuba Room Private Standard
The Cuba Room Private Standard Book
The Cuba Room Suite has a queen bed and a double futon. It is located next to a common room kitchen and is shared with only two other private rooms. The Cuba Room has its own entrance from the porch and is located on the top floor of a two story building. The other two private rooms on that floor have their own bathroom, the Cuba Room Suite will use the bathroom in the common kitchen.

Terms & Conditions
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are from 10PM-8AM. Guests that do not observe quiet hours will be asked to leave without a refund.
No Smoking
All rooms at the hostel are non-smoking. Guests who are found smoking in their rooms will be charged a $300 cleaning fee and asked to leave without a refund. We have a designated smoking area at the main location, please only smoke in that area and no where else.
Pet Policy
We have a very strict pet policy. If traveling with a dog, the dog cannot be left unattended in your room at any time, for any reason. Guests with an animal must rent a private room and are not allowed in dorm rooms. There is a $10/night fee to bring your pet to the hostel.
Additional Guests
Please note, if you booked a private room, you may have up to 2 people in the private room. There is an extra charge of $10 per night to add a third guest to a private room. If you booked a dorm bed, each person must each book their dorm bed separately. For example, if you have a group of 4, you need to reserve Cuba Room 01, Cuba Room 02, Cuba Room 03, and Cuba Room 04 so that each person has their own bed.
Cancellation Policy
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Guests who do not cancel within 48 hours of their reservation will be charged for the first two nights of their stay and the remainder of their reservation will be cancelled with no exceptions. We do not accept cancellations over the phone, you must email info@notsohostel.com and receive a cancellation confirmation. We recommend that you obtain travel insurance as we do not offer refunds for missed flights, sickness, weather, or any other reason. We appreciate your cooperation.
