New Ing Lodge is a Grade 2 listed 18th century farmhouse that now hosts a friendly 10-bedroom guesthouse, hostel and holiday let. We are located in Shap, Cumbria in the beautiful and peaceful Eden Valley and the edge of the Lake District directly on Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route. We are ideal for groups and individuals interested in walking, cycling and other outdoor activities as well as for those just looking for a peaceful retreat in this beautiful part of the country.

Terms & Conditions
Check in & Departure: Check-in is from 15:30. There is a member of staff in the house until 20.00, please phone if you are going to arrive after 20:00 so a member of staff can show you in. There is an extra fee of £10 for check ins between 22.00 and 00.00 and £20 for after midnight. Check-out is by 10:30 on the day of your departure.
Dogs: We are a dog-friendly accommodation provider and ask for a £5 fee per dog for the stay. Please let us know if you intend brining your dogs. The person named on the booking will be responsible for any costs of repair or replacement as a result of damage caused by dogs. No bitches in season.
Towels and bedding: bedding and towels are provided for our bed and breakfast rooms and just bedding is provided for dormirory rooms.
Lost Property: Please note that there is a minimum £5.00 charge to post any items left at the property following your departure. We accept no responsibility for items left after your departure.
Acceptance of these terms: By paying your deposit, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Payment Policy
Deposit: 50% deposit is required in order to confirm the booking. We accept bank transfer or card payments.
Balance: the remaining balance can be settled on arrival either in cash or by card. We do not accept American Express.
For exclusive use bookings, balance is payable at least 8 weeks before arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Guest Cancellations: For cancellations within 10 weeks before the date of arrival, the deposit is only refunded if we are able to resell the date(s). For guest cancellations more than 10 weeks before the date of arrival, the deposit is funded. There is a £5.00 administration fee that is deducted from all the deposits refunded.
For exclusive use and group bookings for 5 or more rooms: deposits are only refunded for cancellations at least 12 weeks before check in date and the administration fee of £45 will be deducted from the deposit.
