Ludlow Mascall Centre
Located in the heart of this historic market town and with ample free parking, Ludlow Mascall Centre is within walking distance of the restaurants, markets, shops, pubs, museum, castle and church for which the town is known. The Shropshire Hills and Mortimer Forest are on our doorstep, with miles of beautiful countryside and stunning landscapes to explore.
Built in 1857 as a national school, the Victorian building has been extended to provide residential accommodation which is rated four stars in the group accommodation category by Visit England. We have seven twin rooms, a family room (one double bed and a set of bunk beds), and a single room which has been designed for those with limited mobility in mind. All of the rooms are situated on the first floor of the building with both stairs and lift access.
Our rooms all have en-suite bathrooms and come with fresh towels and bedlinen, complimentary toiletries, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. They have thermostatically controlled radiators, opening windows and oscillating fans. There is a private courtyard garden with seating as well as a residents lounge. Athena Taverna, located at the Centre, serves delicious traditional English breakfasts and authentic Greek dishes for lunch and evening meals. We provide free, on-site parking for our guests.
The Centre has been part of Ludlow’s Walkers and Cyclists are Welcome initiatives since their inception and has a secured area for bicycle storage.
In addition to guest accommodation, the Centre offers a superb range of rooms for hire, ideal for:

Three of our rooms are licensed for weddings and wedding receptions, and the larger rooms are perfect for anniversary and birthday parties, family and school reunions, and wakes.

Terms & Conditions
"You" and "your" includes yourself and everyone travelling in your party under the same reservation. "We," "us," and "our" includes anyone on the staff of the Ludlow Mascall Centre.
1. Check-in is between 1pm and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Out-of-hours check-in is from 5pm to 8pm, seven days a week. We cannot accommodate arrivals after 8pm.
2. If you or anyone in your party are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been told to self-isolate, please contact us to postpone your stay and do not travel to the Centre.
3. If on your arrival at the Centre you or anyone in your party is displaying Covid-19 symptoms, you will all be asked to leave the premises and we will reschedule your booking.
4. If you or anyone in your party has recently returned from any of the countries on the UK government's amber or red lists, follow the government guidance about testing, self-isolation, and quarantine before travelling to the Centre to ensure that you are healthy. If this means you will need to postpone your visit, please contact us on +44 (0)1584 873882 or +44 (0)7740 029 344, and we will be happy to assist you.
5. Guests cannot self-isolate at the Centre.
6. The minimum age for check-in is 18.
7. Children of all ages are welcome. Our rooms do not have space for cribs or travel cots. We do not offer these nor extra beds.
8. All room prices are per room, per night. If you exceed the number of occupants allowed in a room as specified in the listing, you will be asked to leave immediately, your stay will be cancelled, and you will not receive a refund of your payment.
9. Groups are welcome, but we do not allow bachelor/bachelorette parties.
10. Pets are not allowed with the exception of assistance dogs.
11. Please be respectful of other guests and keep noise to a minimum, especially if returning to your room late at night or departing early in the morning.
12. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in the Centre nor in any of the exterior doorways. You can smoke/vape in the courtyard garden. Anyone found to be smoking/vaping indoors will be asked to leave, and you will not receive a refund of any part of your payment. Anyone found to have interfered with the smoke alarms will be asked to leave, and you will not receive a refund of any part your payment.
13. Parking is available on site on a first-come, first-served basis and is free of charge. The correct vehicle registration numbers of all vehicles in your party will need to be provided to us in advance so that we can enter them into the parking monitoring system database. All vehicles are parked at the vehicle owner’s risk.
14. If you would like to make use of our secure bicycle storage area during your stay, please let us know in advance so that we can have a key ready for you. All bicycles are stored at the bicycle owner's risk.
15. Please vacate your room by 10am on the final day of your stay. Keys (including bicycle storage keys) must be deposited in the box outside the entrance to the accommodation corridor on the first floor in order to limit person-to-person contact. Any lost key will result in a £30 charge.
16. If you booked on our website using a refundable rate, there will be no charge to modify or cancel your reservation as long as your booking is cancelled before your scheduled arrival date and time. If you do not show up without notifying us, you will be charged the full amount of your first night's stay.
17. If you booked on a third-party website (e.g., Booking.com) using a refundable rate, there will be no charge to cancel your reservation as long as you do so before 10am, one day before the date of your arrival. If cancelled outside of these terms, you will be charged the full amount of your first night's stay plus any fees applied by the third-party website. If you do not show up for your booking, you will be charged the full amount of your first night's stay plus any fees applied by the third-party website. There is no fee to modify your reservation.
