If you are looking for a quiet place to watch birds or other wildlife, Las Casitas is the place for you. We have four fully furnished one bedroom vacation rentals. Each rental has a full kitchen (no dishwasher) equipped with pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, etc. A four-cup coffeepot is provided in each unit. All you need to bring is your food! Enjoy bird watching from the porch of your casita, or go up to the main house to see what is going on up there. If you are up for a hike, Rancho Lomitas offers over 250 acres where you can explore the native brush of Starr County. And on a clear night, it is pretty hard to beat the night sky seen from the back of the casitas. Each unit features a 40 inch flat screen TV with service from DirecTV and wireless internet access.

Terms & Conditions

We love living in the peace of the brush here at the ranch and have always sought to share that experience with others. We seek to attract guests who wish to observe and learn about the local brush and the wildlife it supports. We ask that our guests respect the wildlife and the peaceful nature of the ranch and avoid loud noises which might interfere with the enjoyment of other guests. We do not allow hunting on the ranch or loud off-road vehicles on the ranch roads. Other motorized vehicles are allowed on ranch roads with permission. No pets are allowed in the casitas without prior permission. Please see the payment policy and cancellation policy for more information regarding those issues.

Payment Policy

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card or with a check or money order in the amount of the applicable cancellation fee. Please see the cancellation policy regarding cancellation fees and when they will be applied.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary depending upon the rate plan.
Daily - Cancel by 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to check-in and there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel after that time, the cancellation fee is one night's rent.
Weekly, monthly, and long term - Cancel one week prior to your stay and there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel after that time, the cancellation fee is $200.00.
