Standard Cancellation Policy:
Samoa Field (Suite 6, Suite 7, Suite 8, Suite 9):
Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance of the check-in date will receive a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of making the reservation will receive a full refund, less a $10 fee, if the check-in date is at least 7 days away.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the check-in date, shortened stays, or early check-outs. In the event that we are able to rebook your Samoa Field room for your original dates, we will issue a full or partial refund, less a $25 cancellation fee.
Guest Agreement and Information.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS.
1. AGREEMENT: Humboldt Bay Social Club and Tenants agree as follows: Tenant is over the age of 21 and will be an occupant of the unit during the entire reserved period. Other occupants will be family members, friends, or responsible adults. Use of the premises will be denied to persons not falling within the foregoing categories, and as a result they would have to vacate the property immediately without any refund. Furthermore, for unforeseeable reasons, if a unit becomes unavailable, even if you have reserved it, due to circumstances beyond our control, HBSC will make its best effort to offer other accommodations if available.
2. COVID-19 GUEST SCREENING POLICY:
We are mandated by the County of Humboldt to ask all incoming guests a series of screening questions until further notice.
Guests will be emailed a COVID-19 screening email 72 hours prior to their check-in date with the following questions before receiving check-in information:
Have you or anyone in your party had contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
Are you or anyone in your party currently experiencing fever over 100, difficulty breathing or cough?
If you or anyone in your party responds yes to one or both questions we will work with you to reschedule your stay for 14 days after exposure, or in the case of personal symptoms, no less than 10 days from symptom onset AND 72 hours after fever disappears AND improvement in respiratory symptoms per Humboldt County Department of Public Health's guidance. Guidance subject to change without notice.
If you are unable to reschedule right away, we will offer you a credit* in the amount that you have paid to use for a future stay.
3. COVID-19 CLOSURES AND QUARANTINE:
In the event that we will not be able to host you due to a government or company imposed closure or quarantine relating to COVID-19, you will receive credit* in the amount paid. If your check-in date is more than 30 days away for Oyster Beach, or more than 7 days away for Samoa Field, our standard cancellation policy will apply and all cancellation fees will be waived.
*Credits:
Credits are non-transferable.
Credits may be used towards any available room or cabin.
Credits do not expire, or are subject to black-out dates.
Credits may not be used for event fees or Lobby Bar purchases.
When you are ready to book, please please call our reservation line. We will apply your credit, and you are responsible for any remaining balance.
Room rates, taxes, and fees are subject to change.
4.. PAYMENT SCHEDULE: On the day of booking, HBSC collects 50% of the reservation amount. The remainder of the payment will be collected 7 days before check-in (or upon check-in if reservation is made same day. Until the 50% deposit has been paid we cannot guarantee our rates and rates will be subject to change without notice.
Payment by Credit Card through Little Hotelier Payments. This acceptance confirms authorization for HBSC to hold Credit Card Account for the required deposit to confirm the reservation, and then subsequently the remaining balance to complete the full payment of said reservation. Also note that your credit card will be charged any excess charges if deemed necessary from any damages, missing items, or late checkouts.
5. PETS: We allow pets in our rooms. An additional pet cleaning fee is required. Your pet must be on a leash or on reliable voice command. You must clean up after your pet, which includes properly disposing of all waste material. You must also maintain control of your pet at all times, and never leave a pet unattended in the units or on the grounds. Any complaints from other guests regarding excessive noise or other nuisances may be cause for immediate termination of the rental. If we have evidence of a pet being at the property, and you have not been given written permission by us to have a pet, you will be charged $150 plus the cost of repairing any damage to the property.
6. CHECK IN: Check in is 3:00 PM.
Early check in is not possible at this time. Checking in early without verbal or written permission from the property manager may jeopardize our ability to provide you with a safe, clean, and operational rental and we will not assume responsibility for mechanical, operational, housekeeping, or health issues that may arise during your stay. Your keycode or lockbox code will be sent to you via email prior to checkin.
7. CHECK OUT: Check out time is 11 AM. Late check-outs are not possible at this time. WE WILL CHARGE FOR LATE CHECK-OUTS. We will charge the card on file at a rate of $15 per hour, per cleaner since our cleaning service cannot clean until you leave. An additonal charge may be levied if a late check-out hinders our abilty to clean and santitize the room in time for the next guest.
8. CLEANING: Each property will be inspected and cleaned after your departure. The cleaning fee will provide normal cleaning so that you can enjoy your vacation up to the last moment. We ask that you leave the property in the same general condition that you received it . ALL OF OUR UNITS ARE NON-SMOKING. If there is evidence of smoking inside the unit, you will be charged an additional $150. Fees subject to change without notice. An additonal COVID-19 Cleaning Fee will levied per unit.
9. WHAT WE SUPPLY: The unit will include freshly made beds, fresh towels, and paper goods. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board.
10. GUEST LIABILITY: Guest agrees to accept liability for any damages caused to the property (other than normal wear and tear), including, but not limited to, landscaping, misuse of appliances, and/or equipment furnished. Guest agrees to reimburse HBSC for costs incurred to repair/replace damaged items.
11. SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES: Guest and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee for any of the following: A. Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity stated on the website. B. Using the premises for any illegal activity including, but not limited to, the possession, serving or consumption of alcoholic beverages by or to persons less than 21 years of age. C. Causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties. D. Any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their property. Please keep cars and traffic to a minimum.
Events such as weddings and parties at HBSC are possible with additional planning and fees. No unauthorized parties are permitted, and may be cause for immediate eviction.
12. HOLD HARMLESS: HBSC does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconvenience arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity or plumbing. Nor will HBSC or OB accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, poor air quality, wildfires, acts of G-d or nature, or other reasons beyond its control. It is the responsibility of the guest to monitor and plan for weather, road, and travel conditions, advisories, and or restrictions that may impact their stay. We do not offer refunds or credits for any of the above stated issues. Many of our properties are along the water. Do not allow children or pets to roam the property unattended.
13. TUBS, PATIOS, FIREPLACES, FIREPITS, RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT: Tenant hereby acknowledges that if the property reserved includes any of the previously listed item, the undersigned is fully aware that the use of those items can be dangerous and that injury is likely to occur to anyone who is not careful. Children should never be left unattended. Tenants should observe and adhere to all rules and policies as posted at the property. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned accepts and assumes all risks involved in or related to the use of all of the listed items. Also, our tubs are professionally maintained and we strive to keep them in welcoming condition. If they do not appear in satisfactory condition to you, please notify us immediately and we will have them checked.
14. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The guest, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges HBSC and OB from any and all claims, demands and causes of action by reason of any injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising therefrom. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.
