Elemental Resort, formally known as the "Queens Cottages" was established in the 1960s. These comforting cabins have been newly renovated with a unique sense of rustic modern, while still retaining that outdoors-man spirit. Resting on the shores of a spring fed lake, Big Shag lake ( 194 acres in size), you can gaze at the many, many beauties resting here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. With our provided boats, you can easily catch yourself out on the water all day, or choose to relax on the shore with a campfire with good friends and good food. Only being two miles from the resort, The Up North Lodge is a popular formal restaurant, a perfect place to experience northern ambiance while dining, or to just have good drink.
