Hello, and welcome to Dawson House Hotel. We are a family business, where right here, our Grandparents welcomed their first guest in the mid 1970's. With Grandfather still around, it is a pleasure for us to be opening the doors once again... a little over 40 years later ! Dawson House has undergone a somewhat necessary and extensive refurbishment whilst retaining plenty of it's period charm.

Terms & Conditions

Check-in hours: From 1400hrs (2:00pm) - 1900hrs (7:00pm). Any guests wishing to arrive outside of these hours must contact us directly prior to booking their stay, later arrivals cannot be guaranteed entry.

Check-out: By 1100hrs (11:00am)

Government issue photo identification is required at check-in.

Any outstanding balance shall be paid upon arrival, cash (UK Sterling only) and/or any major debit or credit cards are accepted.

Card details may be retained on record, strictly by management, for any changes to reservations or damages.

All reservations are room rate only - WE DO NOT OFFER/PROVIDE ANY MEALS.

Our reception closes at 1900hrs (7:00pm).

Please appreciate we take safety and security very seriously. Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight, therefore a fee of £50.00 (per non registered guest) will be charged to the room/initial person who made the reservation.

Payment Policy

Standard room rates: Room only (no meal plans available). A deposit of one nights stay will be charged when making the reservation, or between that time and check-in. The remaining balance will then be settled upon arrival/check-in.

Non refundable rates: Room only (no meal plans available). These plans/reservations shall be charged in full, at the time, or just after any said booking has been made.

Cancellation Policy

Standard rate reservations can be amended/cancelled up to 72 hours prior to 2:00pm GMT on day of check-in. To receive a refund of amount/deposit paid, please provide written notice to our email address below in accordance with above policy. If notice is not provided out of, or inside the above mentioned window, one nights stay will be charged.

If guests do not provide any notice and do not show on the day of check-in, the amount equalling the entire stay shall be charged.

The full amount of any reservation made, regardless of any notice provided, will not be reimbursed for non refundable rate plans.
