Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy

By reserving or renting a room at Caballito de mar, you agree to the following policies, terms, and conditions.
Cancellations of and changes to the reservations:

We are a very small facility (we have only 8 guest rooms), and that forces us to be rather restrictive in our cancellation policy. As a matter of fact, if you cancel a reservation, it means 25% of lost income to us, because it's very unlikely that we would be able to rent your room to someone else - most visitors would have already booked a room at some other place. Large hotels can afford the "same day" cancellations - we cannot, sorry. Thank you for your understanding!

Any reservation must be cancelled or changed no later than two weeks in advance before the check-in time (2 p.m on the arrival date). We charge Euro10.00 administrative fee for such cancellations or changes, except when the change is to add nights to your stay (assuming we have the availability, of course.)

If you cancel within the two weeks, we will have to charge the first night's rate to your credit card. If you change your reservation to reduce the number of nights or move them to a different arrival date, we reserve the right to charge your credit card for the nights you had reserved originally.

If you cancel or make a change within 72 hours of your check-in time (or later), or in case of a no-show, NO REFUND is given.

No refund is given in all other circumstances.

No early or late arrivals, please!

The check-in time is from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. If you arrive earlier, please feel free to leave your luggage at Caballito de mar, have a breakfast (14 euro per person). If your flight gets delayed or some other delay occurs and you cannot arrive before 10:30 p.m., please give us a call at 0034/650285800 to let us know about the delay. There will be Euro 25 late arrival fee if you arrive later than 11 p.m.
Credit card authorization is required to reserve a room

By asking us to reserve a room you automatically give us the authorization to charge your card in case of cancellation, as described above. If you do not cancel your reservation, we will charge your credit card only upon your arrival, not before.
If you have reserved a specific room

We will do our best to make that room available for you, but we cannot guarantee that that specific room will be available. We reserve the right to offer you another room of equal or better value, or reduce your rate accordingly.
We are not responsible for accidents, injury, or loss of property of any kind.
This is a nice place, please treat it nicely

We can not accept children under 4 years.
We love children, but they require special attention and areas to play, which unfortunately we cannot provide.
Please keep noise down at night to let other guests have a good rest.

Breakfast is served between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (high season) and between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (off-season) If you need to leave earlier on your departure date, we can leave you some snacks and fruits to take along.
Check-out time is 11:30 a.m.

Late checkout may be available only if there is no reservation for your room for the evening, for the additional Euro 30 late checkout fee.
Please don't forget to return the key

Lost or not returned key fee is $25.
