Property Information
About us here in Salida the Sinawav trail lodge recently renamed after the Ute creation story. It’s an old story like our lodge, it’s an old western motel. Built in 1947 after world war 2, after the war the country was just getting started again and our travelers were business men and sales men helping to get the country going again. Families couldn’t afford to travel, so it was built with twin beds in single rooms, and full beds in double rooms. Although it has been extensively updated and remodeled. Are rooms are not the size of a modern hotel, In the past we have had customer tell us that our rooms are to small. But we find them cozy and comfy.
After traveling as a truck driver for 33 years, I found that the size of the room was not important, the things I look for when staying at a motel is a clean room and a comfortable bed. So I could get a good night sleep. And a refrigerator and microwave so I did not have to eat out all the time. So when we remodeled rooms with twin beds became King beds, and rooms with two full beds became rooms with two queen beds, so are rooms may feel a little smaller they are exceptional clean and our beds are very comfortable. And although are rooms do not appeal to everyone, our customers who return each year tell us that’s what they like because it’s not your everyday cookie cutter chain motel.
Salida is a wonderful place, with lots of beauty and actives so weather you stay with us or you stay with someone else we hope you have a wonderful time, and most of all have fun.

Our property has a policy of No Smoking. If you are found to be in violation of this, you will be assessed a $150 fee.
There is a $10 pet fee per animal per day with your stay (limit 2). If it is undisclosed the fee will be $50 per animal. We do not allow animals to be left in the room unattended, please plan accordingly.
Check-in time is 3:00 pm. We will be happy to check you in early if your room is available. Check out time is 11am.
Our lobby hours are 2pm to 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 3 pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Please let us know ahead of time if you will be arriving after our lobby is closed. Arrangements will be made to process your check in before your arrival and your key will be left for you.
Our property accepts Discover, Visa, Master Card, and American express cards please call in or email us directly if you would like to use this to pay for your stay!

No cash accepted onsite, unless Valid credit card or $100 cash deposit.
Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.
Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your security deposit on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, linens, pillows, room key, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.
