Terms & Conditions
I am fully responsible for any theft or damages caused to the room or personal items during my stay. You are responsible for any breakage, damage or missing items in your cabin upon departure. Let us know immediately upon arrival if you notice any missing or damaged items. Visitors must register at lodge and may incur day charge for use of facilities. Pets require prior approval and will incur a weekly charge per pet. No pets allowed in the Birch Perch or the Birch Suite. Check-in by 7pm, late arrivals must notify office, no arrivals after 8pm.
NOTICE TO OUR GUESTS: We make every effort to maintain a safe & relaxing environment at our resort, please keep in mind that use of our facilities, including any items such as paddleboats, canoes and other watercraft/swim rafts are at your own risk and liability. There are no lifeguards on duty.
PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW: To secure your reservation, we require a deposit for each cabin. See: https://www.birchbayresort.us/travel-insurance.html for trip insurance to protect you in the event you are unable to travel - Or select a travel insurance provider of your choice.

FIRST & LAST NAMES OF ALL GUESTS IN YOUR CABIN(S) ARE REQUIRED IN CASE OF EMERGENCY AND BY MINNESOTA STATE LAW. We reserve the right to allow or refuse pets - there is a pet fee. You MUST get prior permission to bring your pet. We require the breed information, age and name of the pet. Any guest not getting permission will be charged double the going rate. Any animal with aggressive behavior is not permitted. If we clean up or step in any pet waste, you will be charged a clean up fee. When permission is given, there is a maximum of one pet per cabin. Exceptions will be given at our discretion. NO PETS (OR SMOKING) ARE ALLOWED IN THE BIRCH SUITE OR THE BIRCH PERCH. SMOKING IS DISCOURAGED ELSEWHERE FOR THE HEALTH OF ALL GUESTS.
Payment Policy
Deposit required to confirm your reservation. Deposits are non-refundable, payment in full due on check out. Please plan on checking out on Friday afternoon, or the afternoon before you leave.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non refundable, Any cancellation within 180 days of check-in requires payment of the full amount that would have been due for your stay. Please take out trip insurance to avoid any financial issues. As a small independently owned resort, cancellations affect us dearly. We hope you understand that as a small resort, our cancellation policy will be enforced.
