Property Information
Alert Bay Lodge
Located on the south shore of Cormorant Island, this spacious oceanfront property overlooks Johnstone Strait. Pods of orcas are often viewed from the lodge as are boats and ships of all shapes and sizes. The vast Great Room with its 14’ ceilings, woodstove, library and comfortable chairs and couches offers a welcoming space for guests and visitors.
Guests can enjoy a hot breakfast before setting out to explore the Island or take one of several wildlife tours. Those that elect to go grizzly bear viewing with Tide Rip or Sea Wolf Adventures will be given a 5% discount if they book through Alert Bay Lodge. Coffee and tea are available at 6:00 am and breakfast is served in two sittings from 7:00 to 9:00 am. Our two breakfast tables are set six feet apart and offer guests a spectacular view of Johnstone Strait.

Reservations
1. Once you make a reservation, you will receive an automated message that provides a confirmation number, room number and date.
2. One child five years and under is permitted to stay for free if the child uses existing beds in the room. There is a charge of $25 per person per day for all other persons.
3. Room prices are based on two occupants per room.
Payment Policy
Prior to check in, a deposit of the first night's room and tax will be charged to your credit card (VISA or MasterCard). We take the balance 24 hours upon check in.
In the case of multi-day special events such as June Sports, SeaFest and the Alert Bay 360, full payment will be debited for all nights booked once the reservations is made.
A one-time fee of $20 will be charged for up to one dog. (Room 4 only)
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
1. Once you make a reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of making the booking without charge.
2. If you cancel more than 14 days from the date of check in, there will be no charge.
3. If you cancel 14 days or less from the date of check in, we will charge your card for the equivalent of one night's stay.
4. Reservations that are not cancelled will be charged the full amount of the room(s) booked.
